They still need time to price establish before applying discounts ahead of Easter. With it being earlier this year, the products will be in stores a little earlier.0

It's not due to Easter being earlier this year, it's been like this for years.
When I worked in a supermarket in the 90s, the cages of Easter eggs were out the back, ready to go out on Boxing day.0 -

I remember being in the confectionary aisle of Morrissons , on Christmas Eve, some years ago, when a shelf stacker said, 'I can't believe I'm putting out Easter eggs on Christmas Eve. We haven't had Christmas, yet.'0

That's exactly why they put them out so early. People will buy some several times (and eat them!) between now and Easter instead of just the once when they actually need them.
Then, you can guarantee, on Easter Saturday, some customers will moan only the expensive ones are left.
