Now Mrs Doyle is already muttering about her costume for St Padraig's Day and we haven't had February yet!

She's unstoppable...just like that blizzard in the US.

A painfully-extracted number 10 NSD sails into the Cauldron of Doom. Struggling a bit this month, must think long and hard about my strategy for February.

Docking at St Tropez this evening, gang, better get the fake tan on as it is still winter, even in the South of France. You did get a bulk order of fake tan, Igor? Good....where from? Big Bertha's Beauty Bazaar.....let's have a look......looks ok, smells a bit creosotey though....maybe the smell fades once it starts working.....suppose it will be alright......can't have our NSD gang looking out of place on the beach with all those film stars and models!

News is coming in of a major incident in St Tropez involving swarms of flies and some unfortunate sunbathers.....details are sketchy, but massive hysteria has ensued.

    Igor,any comments?

Igor, I have never been so embarrassed in my life! (Although memories of recent events keep drifting back like a never-ending nightmare..)

Bad enough Chef strutting along the promenade in a mankini which had clearly been put on a boil wash with your second-best Sunday undermentionables.....

Bad enough marmite mixing Old Widow cocktails with triple strength Valium, and accosting passers-by singing "Do you wanna be in our gang?"

Bad enough Knitwitch sitting on the beach dressed in a Victorian style bathing dress and knitting away like one of those demented hags by the guilloutine during the French Revolution....

Bad enough Mrs Doyle flapping around with her teapot, hassling the glamour crowd to have a cup of tea (go on, go on...)

Bad enough when I eased my immaculately polished toes into my new Chewy Jim sandals, only to find Tiddles had been, shall we say, caught short....

But then, not only were we all a rancid shade of dayglo orange from that iffy fake tan, a swarm of flies appeared from nowhere......I told you that your Brussels sprout curry sandwiches were off.......oh the shame, the shame.......
