Got the flights - help with the hotels please?!

Fly from Coventry (best airport in the world for lack of queues!)

13/09/2007 Depart 17:45 arrive Barcelona 21:05
20/09/2007 Depart Barcelona 21:45

£190ish for both of us all in.

Want to travel up to Lloret de Mar for 4-5 days and then spend a couple in Barcelona. Any quotes/advice/links on decent 3* or preferably 4* appreciated?

Have a great day! :T

One way to do it may be to consult www.tripadvisor.com and read the hotel reviews and then go to www.hotelscomparison.com and see what the prices are coming out at and maybe work your way down the Tripadvisor list until you find one that meets all your criteria. Before you book don't forget to check if the cheapest company is affliated to Quidco or Rpoints to get some additional cashback. I also think there are some codes about for Venere and Travel Republic.

    Kind regards

www.travelsupermarket.com for hotels then www.tripadvisor.com for reviews
are you definately flying into barccelona rather than girona or reus. in barcelona near to placa de cataluyna is best but metro is v good so way up which is best for you.

i can advise you on most places in costa brava but not lloret as its not my favourite!

the trains are fantastic in this area so if you travel light it will be easy to go by rail on a scenic journey

Mardrew and deva thanks for the advice

Deva - yes Thomsonfly go straight into Barcelona. Where would you recommend on the Costa Brava other than Lloret? Would it be easiest to go train to Costa Brava from Barcelona?

    Advice much appreciated! :T

Try calella de palafugel, tossa de mar, pals,cadaques... the best thing would be to look ont he tourist information site as it is fantastic

train is probably better if you just want one or two stops. if you hire a car do so after you have left barcelona as driving and in particular parking there is not easy and thieves tend to prey on rental cars-(local newspaper on show only works half the time!)

Not sure what you're after on holiday but lloret really only has british bars/pubs, clubs and amusements- the beach is not bad though
