300l megaflow or smaller megaflow plus combi?

Just renovating 4 bed/4 bath house. Most of the time just two of us will live in it with ensuite. When all the children and grandchildren stay over on high days and holidays, other 3 bathrooms will be in use (only one has a bath).
Any suggestions for best/most cost effective combination of hot water system(s)? Heating Eng is suggesting 300l megaflow to serve 4 bathrooms but that just doesn't feel right. I feel we should have a one/two bathroom hot water system and some sort of instant supplementary system for when the house is full and more hot water need for showers.
Any advice much appreciated?

It depends on how long you intend to stay there and how often you think you'll have people to stay.

Spending loads of money and heating 300l of water every day for a few weekend a year doesn't sound very cost effective.

Our high days and holidays amount to half a dozen weekends a year at most and we can easily cope (six adults, 2 teenagers and two small ones) and we've only got one bathroom and two toilets and a 200litre tank. I'd have a combi if we could - it worked for us in our previous place - continuous hot water for as long as you want although only one bathroom again.
So make sure they don't all go and shower/bath at the same time and fit a system to suit your main requirement.

Get a smaller boiler and fit electric showers for the additional bathrooms, assuming the water pressure is adequate?
