The point is that some are finding it very inaccurate so you can't necessarily believe what it says if you have nothing else to compare it with.

Well that would be generally true, however, if it is spewing out incorrect information there is a limit how long they can leave it it is current state.

Very true, there is also a question of whether or not they are capturing all (or at least a significant sample of) requests for checking as to accuracy.

Yes. I'm not sure how they are determining that it is giving incorrect data to a 'small' number of users. Certainly of the few on here that have reported back, a high percentage have got what looks like incorrect information.

How many getting the results are actually aware the information might not be correct and take it as face value.

I would have thought a warning on the site that results may be incorrect would be a good idea.

My figures were higher than I think they should be. I wonder if, when I claim my SP and find it lower, I should start a petition to get the figure promised, or if I would be able to sue somebody...? :)

A beta test version let lose to the general public is fine if you know if it has worked or not. There are several of these around in the .gov.uk space these days and generally they are paying for something and you know if it has worked or not. I was submitting my HMRC Self Assessment yesterday and that had a "beta" identity check on the front. This was asking questions such as "income tax paid on and P60 for 2014 / 2015" so was simple to answer as you would need that data to submit the claim. If you gain access it has obviously worked and the main application was not a Beta version. What you do if the beta identity check doesnt work isnt obvious so stating it is a beta version is, IMHO, pointless.

This service is giving data to the public which they may believe to be true but is difficult to verify. While we can get the Starting Amount from the paper route the bit about paying contributions until SPa as harder to validate and in my case was obviously wrong as the figure was less than the Starting Amount. Since my SPa date is in May this year the two must always be the same.

They really ought to have tested this properly, this scenario isnt complex and the situation where is future amount is less than the current one isnt hard to test for.

Is there not a disclaimer already?

But that wouldn't WASPI from trying, would it!

There is a disclaimer on the front screen:-
This service is currently being developed, at the moment we are unable to guarantee its accuracy. You should not take any action on the basis of this information.
    Seems fairly straightforward!

I have just logged into the site again (after I got through the .gov.uk verification again, rememebered the account number and password). I think it has changed. It now says
If you continue to contribute to your National Insurance record your forecast in 2016 will be - £159.14 a week

Amount based on your contributions up to 2015 - £161.64 a week

Amount if you continue to contribute until 2016 - £159.14 a week
I am still not sure by I am given £159.14 as the headline figure seems about right but then says £161.61 based on contributions up to 2015.

Still confused bu £159.14 aligns with what I expected.

    Mine is similar.
Amount based on your contributions up to 2015
    £162.86 a week

Amount if you continue to contribute until 2021
    £161.28 a week

So they didnt realise that people who already have accrued more than the maximum nSP amount can't get any extra so all information after the first box is unnecessary.

Clearly a glaring fault in the requirement (if they had one) or an even worse fault in testing not to pick it up. There is absolutely no way we would have let something like this get released.

I could fix it if they pay!
