But when you told the bank there had been an unauthorised transaction, they credited your account with the missing money. There is a benefit to customers if firms use the Visa Account Update service - if you pay for things such as a subscription, you don't need to update everyone when you get a replacement card. On the other hand these things can be more difficult to cancel than traditional Direct Debits.

It's a continuous payment authority and can be cancelled with the bank (largely thanks to EU rules)

As for the full stops, you are all terrible... :rotfl:
