Spraying a white chest freezer silver possible?

I've inherited a white chest freezer but I would really like to spray it silver to match the rest of the electicals in our kitchen.
So, just like to ask if this is even possible, if so which materials, application advice etc..
On the other hand should I consider some sort of silver vynil wrap maybe?

Any advice appreciated

  • There are products that will do this and a quick search on Google threw up a video on YouTube showing it being done. Not sure how good it would look or whether it would last but it is possible. It would need the old surface keying/etching so that the new paint would hold but as the freezer was free it would certainly be a cheap way of doing the job. If the rest of your appliances are actually stainless steel as opposed to a stainless steel paint finish then I can't see it looking anywhere near as good but if the appliances are just a stainless painted finish then you may get it looking ok.

You'll need to take the seals off and will probably want to remove the lid before painting to get a proper finish. The materials don't look cheap though.
