Why have a listing with every size/colour out of stock?

  • That's what happens with multi listings when people buy the stock. Each item in the list goes out of stock, leaving just that one. It can be annoying when you're after a specific item and it turns out to be out of stock.

They leave it though as it means editing the listing and removing things which makes no sense because when they get more stock they'll want it in the listing again.

I've seen some where the only one out of stock is a 99p item that's different and the rest are 2.99+ and they're just using the 99p to show up in listings at a much lower price. Now that's really annoying!

I really hate multi-option listings and wont buy from one now.

I wanted a cheap 1m HDMI cable recently and was not going to pay £10 for one with some gold paint on the ends. All the budget shops were out of stock except B&M with a longer one for £15.

99p from ebay delivered (UK item). But the number of listings with something else unrelated or a single connector for 99p was a right PITA..

Any listing with a multiprice option gets ignored. Variations on colour etc no problem but not different items at different prices.

I had that issue 3 times with HDMI! One for HMDI, then I bought micro HDMI as the item I bought said it needed that and it turned out it was wrong so I had to go through the whole thing again to find a mini HDMI -_-

Also recently had to find a number of other cables. I've wasted far too much time going through who knows how many listings to find what I want at a decent price.

Most annoying thing is that some didn't appear to be multi-listings but they were when you clicked on them.

Hopefully I'm good for cables for a while now, I feel I've bought every possible cable going recently :rotfl:
