Pandora Ring Refund -Duty Free

I bought a ring from the Pandora stand at M/cr Airport on xmas eve for my wife, (duty free)
Unfortunately the ring is too big, I have returned to the same place today and though Pandora sell smaller rings they do not stock them and refuse/ can not order a smaller size though they are advertised on Pandora's website.
To obtain a refund they say I have to go through the company's website and return via post ( World Duty Free ), it would appear Pandora is a franchise
This will mean further costs for P & P and insurance.
At the point of sale this was never explained and no signs in store .
Where do I stand as surely this procedure of refunds etc refusal to order a smaller size extra cost re P & P would come under Unfair Terms
Any advice on this or other pointers would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

You have no right to a refund when you purchase in store.
Can you not go to another jeweller and have the ring reduced in size?0
