I think that's a bit harsh obviously I didn't realise that at the time when I had my child with him, I've come on here for help & support

Well, yes perhaps that is true and he probably thought the same too, naturally you could have asked for advice without adding the idiot bit.
Everybody makes mistakes, that includes both of you.
You have already been offered guidance on your situation, but be mindful child support doesn't last forever , as this is a money saving site, then you need to start adjusting your budgetting for when the contributions end.
  • You could still go through the CSA going forward.

Maybe you could look into applying for PIP

As you can imagine I'm not very happy as this was arranged by through our Solictors & the wording on the document was for him to pay the money as long as he needs it.
It wasn't actually a maintenance agreement done by the Solictor but between myself & my ex.

Make your mind up. First you say you're not happy with the solicitor for the vague wording and then you say no solicitor was involved.

On what basis? He seems pretty independent to me. He's working, going to college and looking after his own money

There are plenty who work and manage their own money who qualify for PIP.

It's based on care and mobility needs.

Actually he's not independent at all!!!
He already gets DLA, goes to a special needs college, has a support worker with him at work & the company he works for is the same that my ex works for & he got him the job as they wanted to employ people with disabilities & he can't manage his own money, I'm his appointee

Thank you for the replies that have given me useful information I will contact my Solictor when she is back on the 4th Jan & also speak to the CSA

I think the wording has confused things
child maintenance would be due whilst he is in full time education irrespective of working part time
your agreement does not seem to cover education and instead says 'as long as needed'. It is possible that your husband knows the son is earning more than the £30 per week he was paying so his money is no longer needed(in his understanding of the agreement)
If you open a CMS case they will certainly see maintenance due as is in education but would end up with a defined end date too which you don't currently have
