I have the latest Homehub but in my house I have areas at the extremities that has a poor signal.
Are these any good to boost the range or is it a con?

Not used one so can't comment of their effectiveness, but if you do decide to get one you can save yourself a tenner at Amazon.

Also do they use the same network name or do you have to switch between the router and extender?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0

I find the problem with it is that my main PC gets confused by the signal from Homehub & the signal from this. As the wife only uses the extender at night I turn it off during the day & everything is fine.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Anyone else have any experience of these?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0

Got the old one , same problem as above , if my wireless printer connects to the extender instead of the hub it stops working until I switch it backEx forum ambassador

Reference the confusion issues....
As they are on slightly different SSIDs why is there a confusion issue? I'd planned to connect a non-mobile device to the strongest signal, the extender, and not the hub?

Why on earth would you have them on different SSIDs?0 -
Because they broadcast as BTHUB5 and BTHUB5-EXT according to the blurb?{Signature removed by Forum Team}0

One reason that I had to was because one access point was using WPA, while the other used WPA2, meaning that clients struggled to switch between the two.
Does anyone know how clients decide when to switch to the other network if you use the same SSIDs on two access points? Do they check the signal strength, say, every minute and switch if the other signal is stronger? And does that cause any noticeable delays for network users?0 -
