Amazon let down

Hi, I bought a present for my partner from an Amazon seller.
It was supposed to be a 6 disc set. I never checked it but just wrapped it when it arrived. Yesterday when he opened it there are only discs 3 and 4 in the box and he is really disappointed. I have just emailed the seller. Never bought through Amazon before. What rights do I have?

How about waiting for the seller to respond?

I expect the Amazon seller will refund you but if not then Amazon's A-Z guarantee should cover you...

You can send it back. Because the goods are not as described, the seller has to pay for the return postage.
  • Seller apologised profusely and had refunded in full. Thanks for replies.

  • If you email the seller and they refuse to answer your emails all you have to do ( give them a reasonable amount of time to reply ~ seller could be on holiday). File a claim and Amazon will refund in full via a gift card which will lie on your account and you will be able to spend on future purchases.

However DO NOT has I have done return faulty goods to third parties ~ Montecarvo Ltd, requested that I return an item which was very badly made (I sent photographic evidence to support my request to return). They refused to supply a pre-paid returns label until they had inspected the faulty goods. Sadly against my better judgement and after contacting Amazon who advised me to return as postage would be refunded when the company saw the faults.
Amazingly though not surprised Montecarvo Ltd could not find any fault with the item. Really not even the sharp metal rod which was pushing its way out of the material . Amazon actually emailed this company on my behalf and told them to refund postage but they declined.
Therefore, file a claim after a reasonable amount of trying to engage is conversation with the seller. Amazon will deal with the issue for you and you will be stress free.
