Afternoon everyone, i dont know why i am online as i have a migraine today??? Its not the worst though, i just feel so bored today! And i need to get my christmas lists in some sort of order as it is just flying atm.

PEPPAPIG i hope DH gets some answers soon and starts to feel better, it sounds rotten. Thanks for the recommendation for AO, i did look on there but DS is treating me to it so i let him decide where and what to have, tbh i just need a washing machine, the piles are really rising now. I have had to have new knickers, DS is going on holiday for the week tomorrow night and is going out today to get some new clothes and boxers to see him through :D Its being delivered Friday so i will have to be very nice to DD2s partner for him to come and dewire and disconnect and then connect new one this weekend. In a strange way i am missing doing the laundry

It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • This thread is really moving now, welcome to the newbies. Hugs to everyone that is feeling ill there are a lot of bugs going around. I have a bit of a cold about me today but I have had a few honey and lemons and dosed up on vitamins so I should be ok.

On the Christmas front I just have my dads main present to buy for, I must say wilko has some lovely Christmas gifts in there pet ranges are good too and cheaper than other places. Their gardening gifts are great value and quality, I bought 2 weathervanes and they are metal and great quality for £10.00 each. That's my grandad sorted and my aunt and uncle.:j

Christmas cards all bought just got to write them out and post them nearer the time. Hopefully I can get my dads present sorted over the next few weeks so that I can concentrate on moving home without the stress of finding presents for people.

Peppa hope dh gets some answers its very frustrating when you have a long term health issue as they seem to just assume everything is related. Have you seen the shopkin pumpkins? I got one in sains for taz cute little pumpkin with 2 shopkins in ideal as a halloween treat though not seen them elsewhere yet

Freespirit hope your all feeling better and your migraine goes quickly

GTQ the book marks sound great fingers crossed the event goes well

newthrift hope your feeling better and enjoy the ball/gala tommorrow

the book people have a flash sale on upto 85% off collections
managed to get 18 beast quest books that ds loves for £15 :D ok so he has 2 of them already but as they retail between £4-£6 each and it can be really hard to find decent deals on them £15 for the set is a bargain.

Wasn't impressed with the toy sale offerings in my local store the only thing I brought was the shopkins pumpkin. A few of people going mad buying loads but very quiet otherwise I think being earlier this year has had an effect as a lot of people are probably waiting on pay day.

picked up some of the gingerbread dough from ikea as its bb jan 2017

taz has nabbed the xmas themed throw I brought and refuses to go to bed without it. I don't blame him as its so soft and snuggly but he wasn't meant to see it yet as it was going to be a gift from the elves. Its this one though its printed in both sides not plain on the back as in the pic http://direct.asda.com/george/home-garden/kids-blankets-cushions-curtains/george-home-jingle-all-the-way-fleece/002080263,default,pd.html?cgid=D26M05G05C12
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

I've got DD1 on the case, she's going to Sainsbury's for me tomorrow :-)

  • Thanks mandco I will have a look on there for my dad. In home bargains they had some star wars tins filled with jelly sweets for £2.99 good idea for a stocking filler. Nice generous sized too, I will be filling each tin with a cinema ticket for the new star wars film for my dad and brother.

  • Free, I am so naughty, but I am going to blame you! I had a big chuckle reading about piles & new knickers in consecutive sentences!

  • I can't remember who was doing a gardening hamper but I got this really funny book to go in my grandad's gardening hamper, its a great gift idea.https://www.amazon.co.uk/50-Ways-Kill-Slug-Gardening/dp/0600608581/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1476981162&sr=1-2&keywords=slugs

  • Saw my GP this evening to discuss the results of my hearing test. Discuss is to be used lightly!

Have been referred to every local ENT so that I can get the quickest appointment possible.. Having that knowledge is dangerous as it meant I could google when I got home, especially as he wants me to have MRI. This sounds as if he suspects a rare benign tumour, about 20 people in 1 million have it. I hope I am wrong, but it does worry me. Will just have to stay deaf & play by ear:o
