Old bank charge claims left on hold.

Hi. This is my first ever post. My question is this if anyone knows. When all the bank charges started to be reclaimed, I opened a case with HSBC. After a few back and forward messages they then put it on hold whilst the whole thing went to court. I never heard anything more and just presumed they cancelled the arrears on my account and closed the account. This week I have received a £400 debt from HSBC. Am I able to counteract this with my old bank charge reclamation case or have I been caught cold? Thanks in advance.

The banks won the charges case, they were not found to be unfair. You need to communicate with the bank and arrange to pay your debt.0
