Refused Basic Bank Accounts

Hi, in last few days I have been refused basic bank accounts that basically do not even do credit checks. Why would this happen ? I cant see anything on my credit file. How can I see if black mark against my name and this address.

but it does not show up under my Experian report. Isn't it instant ?

Is there anyway I can check my cifas report right away or must I go through the arduous writing in process. Surely it would be the same as the Experian section of the report where it says no cifas marks against my name

You must post form in writing, there is no online report for it.

I am a 3/5 but nothing on cifas

any other clues what this could be ?

What is any credit cards or loans do you have? What is the total of your available credit? Are you on the Electoral Register at the address you used for your application? How did you apply - online or in Branch?

online, one card and one overdraft, maxed out, and am on electoral roll

but as I said these are basic accounts and don't do a full credit check so I don't think this matters

Just go on cifas and national hunter and pay the fee the cifas will not show whatsoever if the company has suspected fraud, for obvious reasons.
You might need to prove your identity via passport or utility bill.
