This Prize Draw is open to residents of the UK aged 18 or over,
except for employees of Immediate Media,
Lonely Planet and G.Adventures their families,
agencies or anyone else associated with this competition.

There will be one overall prize for one winner plus guest.
The prize includes two return economy flights
from London to Manila,
(to the value of £600pp).
Hotel accommodation for 8 nts,
Meals including 8 breakfasts.
Allow USD150-195 for meals not included.

The maximum total prize value is £3500 based on the
recommended retail value at the time of printing.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation
in the value of the prize.

The flights and accommodation must be taken in one trip,
and both require 14 days advance booking and are subject to availability.
The tour departs on selected dates that will be confirmed by
G Adventures to the winner on confirmation.
The prize must be booked by the
31 August 2016 and taken by the 31 December 2016.
Trip code AQPN.

Prize travel is subject your carriers General Conditions of Carriage.
The winner and their companion must travel together on prize flights
and will not accrue Frequent Flyer points on the prize travel.
An upgrade cannot be purchased on airfares with cash or Frequent Flyer points.

representation as to the safety,
conditions or other issues that may exist at the destination

Compliance with any health or other government requirements
is the responsibility of the prize winner and companion.

The winner and their chosen companion must comply with all relevant customs, security and immigration requirements,
including appropriate passport and visa requirements.
Immediate Media, Lonely Planet and G.Adventures will not be responsible for any passenger’s failure to comply with these requirements.

The prize winner and the companion are responsible for holding
a passport with at least six months validity.
And must organise relevant visas where required.

The prize does NOT include any insurance, travel to and from London Heathrow, or any travel or other expenses during the trip.
Any out of pocket expenses (such as phone, room service,
drinks purchases, gifts and food are not included in the prize.

The package is non-transferable and no alternative packages will be offered

There is no cash alternative.

The competition prize is subject to availability.

Lonely Planet and G.Adventures shall not be responsible for any indirect, special or consequential damages or losses suffered
by the entrant or a third party.

The competition is provided by Immediate Media

The winner will be selected at random from all entries.

28 days of the competition closing date.

If we can’t contact the winner within a month of the closing date,
we will offer the prize to a runner-up,
or re-offer the prize in another promotion.

Hi, your lead post cannot be deleted by a member but a merge will be done by a BG. Please do not delete your post after the merge is done.

How to sort a merge:

1 What do I do if I see a comp which has already expired / been posted on here? / How do I send a merge request to a Board Guide?
On any page of the Forum, towards the bottom right of the page under the list of comp threads, it says who the Board Guides (BGs) are for this forum. Below is the current list:

**Note: Whilst an additional BG is being selected please be gentle with Dalkirst and Glad - they will be rushed off their feet!!

If you click a BG name, it will take you to their profile page, over on the right is the 'Contact Info' & you should see a link to 'Send a private message to xxxx'

If you click that, a Private Message (PM) box will display & then all you need to do is put a title (eg Merge Request Please), then tell the BG what the Original Thread URL & the Dupe Thread URL is. (Highlight the URL of a thread in the bar at the top of the browser screen & right click > copy. Then click your mouse back into the PM box & right click > paste). You can ‘Preview Message’ to see how it will look, if you want, before you click to ‘Submit message’.

Please try to spread your requests across all BGs so we don’t overload just 1 of them, as they are volunteers to help the board run smoothly & do want the time to enter & post some comps too!

Please also post on the duplicate comp thread that it is a dupe, include a link to the original thread & if you mention that you have sent a merge request to whichever BG you sent it to, then that will save others doing exactly the same thing & bombarding the poor BGs with multiple requests for the same thing.

How to search MSE before posting:

2 How do I search to see if a comp has been posted?
The Forum Search is not foolproof although if you take a couple of easy steps then it can help you not to post duplicate comps.

On any Forum page, just above where the threads are listed you will see the option to ‘Search this Forum’, click this & then select ‘Advanced Search’.

A new screen will open, which is the Advanced Search screen & seems to be more responsive to searches.

Please refer to the image below for numbered steps.

1. Key Words.
   Take the main part of a comp page address (URL) & type / paste it here.
   For Example, if http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/competitions/show/id/2704 is the comp page, use keyword: goodtoknow.co.uk
   Also, for the radio comps, try searching for the part of the url that starts '/Article...' it should bring up the other stations if they have been posted.
   
   I recommend you only use the main part of the comp URL as sometimes comps change location on a site.
   
   If that search brings back too many results, then try using a word from the comp which will have been used if it was posted on MSE to narrow it down slightly.
   For Example, goodtoknow.co.uk watch
   
   You could also use the answer to search again, just to ensure you aren’t about to post a comp that is already on here.
2. Search Forums.
   If Competitions Time is not already highlighted in the list, scroll down the list & click it to highlight.
3. Also search in child forums.
   Ensure box is ticked - the search will also check in Competitions Time sub forums (the I won! Forum, the Game Over Forum & the Regular Competitions Forum).

Click on the 'Search Now' button & it will bring back a list of results. Read through the list carefully to see if the comp has been posted. Repeat the search a couple of times with different search criteria to be more certain that it's a new one.

Something else to be aware of is that it can take a couple of hours for the forum software to include new threads into the search function. Take a quick glance down the last couple of pages of threads to check for comps that sound similar to the one you're about to post.

Another way some MSE Compers use to search for specific comps is to use the Google Search Engine. If you wanted to search for, say, Kung Fu Panda comps in the forum then you would type:
"Kung Fu Panda" "competition" site:forums.moneysavingexpert.com
(Placement of the speech marks as that is very important!)
