  • You can try converting the format with a free converter like Any Video Converter and see if that does it. Otherwise, as I've found on some film downloads, the film shows up as a full time but the download has a corruption.

Did you dismount the USB stick before unplugging it? When operating systems say they're copying data, they can actually be caching it in memory to be written later. Dismounting the drive ensures that the cache is flushed to disk. In Windows, I think you right-click on the USB device icon in the system tray and choose "Safely remove device" (or words to that effect).

I've had this happen a few times. Play the film and when you get to about 30 seconds from where it cuts out hit fast forward for a minute to take you over the corrupted section. Usually it will play from then inwards but I found that it will get to another part and do it again. I would just find another version of the file and down load again. Good luck!

What happens when you play the film from the memory stick on the PC?

1 - WORKS FINE - then you have a TV issue. Worth using another make of memory stick

2 - FAILS AFTER 20 mins - you have what appears to be a fully downloaded film but isn't. Play it from HDD instead. Works? Copy again to USB stick. Fails? Download it again.
