  • Hi Lomcevak,

#28 here - a halfway-through-the-month payment of £500 for May - a second larger payment to come at the end of the month.

My motivation had started to wane a bit - which is why I'm trying to do 2 a month - otherwise it's a long slog between overpayments and The inner spendthrift in me would really really love to spend this money on a holiday!

Well done everyone on all the OPs!

No 92 with an unexpected car insurance refund of £27.48, making that a running total of £299.74! Exciting as this is a very high month for me, may have to find some money for a bit extra to tip it over the £300 barrier!!

  • Hi,

May payment for #10 so far is £130.
however there will be more. Need to calculate the balance of my redundancy payoff after paying for some much needed home improvements. Then fling that at the mortgage.

    Will be back soon.
    Thanks Lomcevak, as always.

    Spreadsheet updated :D
    Hi Lomcevak,
My motivation had started to wane a bit - which is why I'm trying to do 2 a month - otherwise it's a long slog between overpayments and The inner spendthrift in me would really really love to spend this money on a holiday!

I know the challenges of motivation :) my mortgage is coming down at a good rate, but it still feels like a very long way to go at times so I have some ups and downs along the way. This thread gets me back on track, but I must admit that we've just 'deferred' a couple of extra OPs and splashed out on the holiday too - Christmas this year will be on a sandy, sunny beach on the Pacific rather than in cold and wet Sussex. Can't wait :D

    Not sure i'm helping :A
