Welcome back Sundaysgirl and kbl, I've given you #123 and #132 again as requested. And welcome back too NewMoneySaver13 - you've confused me a bit by asking to retain #123 as you were #148 last year, I've given you that again as I'm assuming that's what you meant. Sundaysgirl has #123.
Welcome too to Ali-OK, nv200, and My Lovely Carrot
ElusiveLucy - well done on getting so near to the end, do pop in and tell us when you've made it. Always very motivational to see someone get over the finish line. And we're here if you get tempted by an OP or two to bring it even closerI'm much better diverting to my pension as well which is why I have reduced my amount ... but the habit of slinging money over to the mortgage won't go till its all paid up
shangaijimmy - I love reading the techniques people have for trimming a bit extra off the mortgage, andI do it every morning to the nearest pound. If it's already tidy as nothing spent the day before then I tidy a whole pond as a reward.
This is great! Going to have to give it a try0 -
MFW#42 A little bit more paid off today. OP of £61.38 means a total of £325.62 overpayments for January so far.
I love the 'tidying up' idea too!0 -
We should do a sub-thread for daily TT's!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Hi All,
MFW #46 - Jan overpayment so far £100.13.
Not sure if there is going to any more this month, we shall see.
Received my revised annual water bill on Friday and that's come down by £5 from next month so Ive already upped the automatic payment by that amount. Good job the small things DO make a difference eh???
Happy Sunday all

Good Morning all. I'd love to join if that's ok, with a target of £6,000.
At Christmas I crunched the numbers and nearly fell off my chair when I saw the difference overpaying could make. I've had my mortgage for just over a year and had originally intended to overpay, but strangely those good intentions never materialised!
So now, I've now set up the SO, filled out the right form and just need to wait for the SO to kick off...0
