Deprivation of Capital

the previous posts are confusing....
one minute it was £17k went on debt repayment then it was not that but would not disclose where the money went
one minute it is £100 left in account to make ESA claim (this post) but the other thread mentions £5k in the account which was declared at time of claim
the other post also talks about how pension can be moved to mother to stop it reducing ESA
Given that PIP and the £200 per month pension would not be affected by savings/deprivation I do wonder why bother with the obvious mental stress of claiming a means tested benefit for £10 per week(?) when worried about being investigated for deprivation0 -
Did they ask for bank statements? When i claimed i had to send them all in.0

You will need to notify the DWP every time the private pension increases - usually once a year in April to prevent future overpayments. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0

I hope they take all his ess, it's clearly a massive con and mummy dearest is either in on it or being taken for a ride by her son.0 -

Responding to the OP from a viewpoint of accepting what is stated in that first post -
(1) It is highly unlikely that Deprivation will be considered as the spending / loss of the capital happened before any application for benefit was made, and would therefore be extremely difficult to prove even if claiming benefit was the intention.
(2) If an attempt was made by DWP to claim Deprivation had happened, the mental health of your son would make intent (and that is required) difficult to be proven.
(3) The person who contacted you from DWP would be attempting to obtain facts, not opinion, and that can make them seem hard and uncaring. Undoubtedly some are, but the vast majority want to arrive at a fair outcome.0 -

It's a troll, he also posts on other forums under various forms of the same username. When he's being the son he's very lucid and rational.
When he's being the mother he's agressive and uptight.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0 -
