Virgin Money Card Balance Transfer Problem

Surely if Virgin Money want to keep you as a customer and want to earn money from your balance, they'll have to do everything they can to help you with the transfer?? Not tell you to go away and sort it out yourself??

Unfortunately they do not want to hear. Either I'll give them 16 digit number which does not exist for amex or make a money transfer at 4% fee instead of no fee for a balance transfer.
