Anyone else had dramas with Halifax? Or is it just me?

Well, just had a text and then an email saying they'd tried to call me (I have poor reception at work) so I rang the number and supplied the PIN they gave me, as requested. They apologised for emailing me as they hadn't actually dealt with my complaint yet...but someone would call me later.
Just another few minutes of my life wasted./

Ok! Just spoke to them and they were great. Complaint upheld and £75 credited to my account. Happy bunny.0

Nice result! These days I rub my hands together when a bank messes up
I have 2 TSB sole accounts, and 2 TSB joint accounts. The sole accounts I had debit cards for, but the joint accounts I didn't. When TSB introduced the 5% contactless cashback earlier this year, I decided to make the most of it and requested debit cards for the joint accounts also. Instead, they cancelled my existing debit cards! I moaned, telling them how inconvenienced I was (even though I have many other current accounts), and got £100 compensation.
I opened an HSBC Advance account earlier this year. They took a very long time sending paperwork and opening the account. I rang to complain and they put me on hold for about 30 minutes. Without prompting, they credited my account with £15 for just being on hold for a while. Then they gave me another £50 for being slow in opening the account.
Banks are a PITA sometimes, but it's very nice when they through you a few quid to make up for it!0 -
When I got my first job I opened an account with Halifax and been with them ever since. They have always been fair with me so I cant really ask more that that.
Although I asked about the HTB ISA a few months ago to a lady at my local branch to which she replied "Oh we wont be doing those" which I though was a bit naive but was quickly forgotten and forgiven when they did launch the product at 4%.Earn, Save and Achieve0 -
To be fair and equitable, I should have mentioned that Halifax's "unbelievable incompetence" has resulted in several hundreds of pounds in compensation, including over £300 regarding a series of mess ups with my DD's JISA lolEthical moneysaver0

Only dealings I've had with Halifax is when I opened a HTB ISA with them. Process was quick and easy (all online), no issues at all."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

... Just a personal thing really....despite the pain of the last few years, turns out I've still got an itch to spend cash! I'm trying to crush it as I want to buy a house and need to stash every spare penny.
Are we secretly related? This is a big part of my reason for having various accounts set up - there's not much in them at the moment though!0 -
All banks give us small savers the runaround, (we are complying with money laundering rules they say ). But if you had wanted to deposit £1m I bet it would have been accepted.0
