Hi everyone
I've never heard of Madbid and have never registered with them. I got a text message from them last night thanking me for registering and giving me my password! I then had a look at their website.
Can anyone please advise as I began panicking about fraud. I don't know if they have my name or other personal details.
Thank you.

Have you emailed them to find out how they have your details, the longer you leave it the more opportunities a fraudster has to use your identity... If you contact them they will place a hold on the account and investigate.0 -
Thank you

I just called them now; and they said they're deleting the account.
What benefit would someone get if the account can only be activated from a password sent to my personal mobile number?0 -
Somebody possibly mis-entered their mobile number?
I, quite frankly, don't have a clue what one of my mobile numbers is... I have to look it up on the phone each time I need it.0 -
Thank you

I asked the person I spoke to as to what details were on the account. She told me that only the first name was on the account and no address or other personal details. This first name is the first name of my legal name.0 -
Could be many reasons from incompetence to crookedness via coincidence, but for all their faults madbid seem to have done right by you.0
