Why is your help 2 buy Isa the only thing you have with the halifax, you do know you can get £100 for switching and no DD needed :-)
    not bias at all lol....

Because when I last applied to the Halifax, they didn't want my custom :o I was unemployed at the time so failed the credit check, and didn't proceed with a basic account as I wouldn't have gotten the £125 for switching as it only applied to "proper" current accounts :(

I have tilly tidied into the VSP today but doubt I will be able to save much this month... Why is building work so expensive??

Hope you are feeling OK Westie and that the op goes well :grouphug:

Oh dear! Although it is obviously needed so i'm sure it is for the better! Are you nervous? Remind me what you're having done? Oh and how is the swimming going?

It is to remove some foreign matter that has been left in my hip from one of my operations possibly eight years ago!!! so its been the cause of my pain (I think) and caused my hip replacement (I think) so when the doctors found more of the plastic I wanted it out, so that what they are doing, the nervous bit in me, if that they wont know how deep it is till I go to theatre, so that the worrying bit, and i have plans for the end of October, not including my channel swim,

Thanks for the concern, I appreciate that :-)

Seaotter You have sent me three update forms, does that means three different amounts or just the one?

Let me know and ill update the spreadsheet

Ah Selene that makes sense, you do know you can try again after six months, that said its not £125 now, its only £50.

I am having a bad few days with nerve pain, I was planning to get into the pool, but I hope that I will be able to get back in the pool Monday, I need to swim my bum off to get myself out of the virtual harbour of Dover....

Keep potting everyone, looking forward to seeing Septembers figures.

There was a bit of money left in the bank before my September pay went in (for once) so I transferred it into my VSP and as a result my target has been met! Not the original target I admit, but good to have achieved my revised target :)

Sorry! If they are for the same amount then that should be just one. My new correct total is in my signature.

    WELL DONE!!!

Yes that does mean the surgeons have left some stuff in my hip, they have already found 14cm of it, which was removed when I had my replacement two years ago, was a surprise waiting when they opened me up, lying over the hip joint, and they have now found at least two more pieces which I think was one long piece at one time, but broken up into pieces, so they are being removed, so I will then going to pursue suing for the cause of my pain and the other five operations I have had since I think they left it in me. I know it was at least six years ago if not eight!!!
