Is it just me or does the 666, in the total bug you?
Who will be next to declare to get rid of this figure?
anybody want to declare 21p? I far prefer the look of £4667.00 but would love to see £5000

I will think about it.......
Okay, well we have yet to make either of my mini challenges, so I may just keep August one going into September, maybe I was being too optimistic with my targets...
Be patient and I decide what to do tomorrow, as we may get some more declarations in tonight and tomorrow, so I maybe proven wrong....

There are loads of empty boxes left for August yet. We need £37 from each person that has not yet declared to meet the £5000 total. That's doable, If we don't make it set a new target. We have averaged at around £500 a month as a group so maybe just go for that?Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

That sounds like a good idea, maybe then I can try and push you all for the last three months, although I'm thinking of extending the challenge dates,
what do others think>
End of challenge was 30th November, so people could use the funds for christmas, I am in a christmas challenge so I have covered that expense...
I may just keep running this challenge the end of the year, we will then get a true figure of what we have saved in an actual year..

I have been running my VSP in line with the SPC (as you know).
My January total on here is a sum of November, December and January as that challenge finished at the beginning of November.
Whatever you decide to do i will continue to run my VSP that way.
Are you planning on running it next year? If so i will not declare for November and December this year and add them on to January next year.
I have quite enjoyed having this separate thread so i do hope you want to run it next year

Yes I'm happy to run it again, if everyone is okay with that, I took it over and there was no thread for this year and people were asking if there was one.
I must say I have quite enjoyed keeping tabs and the organisation so I will be happy to continue unless someone one else wants to take the reins.
Reading your post, I think Ill keep it to November 30th, then the challenge can start again in January 1st like this one did.
I think I was still potting into VSP 2015 in November and December, even though the challenge was until November. Why are you not going to declare November, the challenge ends 30th? So you are just going to stop at Halloween?
Is that because the SPC ends 3rd November, so keeping them together, are you declaring the total amount of both challenges into the SPC?
I just kept everything the same from the VSP 2015 and that was run to November 30th. What is everyone else's opinions?
1. Do we continue the challenge to the end of year, rather then ending at the end of November?
2. Are you happy for me to run 2017 VSP challenge or does someone else want to give it a go?

I won't declare mine for November as i will bank mine and start again on November 3rd with the SPC. That is a Thursday and my usual transfer date is a Friday so my first transfer for November will be counted towards my 2017 total
If you are not planning on starting a new thread until January then i would run this one until the end of the year so people have somewhere to go. If you want to end it on Nov 31st then maybe start the new one on Dec 1st?
It's entirely up to you and what everyone else finds easiestSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

I think ill finish it on the 30th November, then start again on Jan 1st.
I think this is the best solution as people stop updating at this time, money is used to fund christmas.
Those that want to continue to save/transfer in December can add that figure to next years thread.
Think thats what I did last year, It was ended the end of November, then any more funds were added to the January figure.
Open to suggestions though, but as you can see, challengers are falling by the wayside, so only the committed will still be with me in November, so if we dont have a December declaration it probably wont affect too many people ;-)
Its only one month after all.

Just checked the 2015 thread and it looks like Nix143 ran the challenge till November but after this date people stopped updating.
So ill think Ill keep it the same, unless others want it to go to the end of the year, if there is no plans for the VSP money, as I have assumed people will use the funds for christmas, but they like myself be part of the christmas challenge, so they may want to continue to the end of the year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Challenge for August
Can we see if we can make £5000 at the end of the month...
This works out at £85.53 each...
THATS MANAGEABLE RIGHT!!!
only £21.50 (ish) a week...
Go Go Go....
Westie983
Okay so currently we are £333.21 off the target of £5000.00
I know there maybe some more updates to come through so lets see that figure go down...
Once August has been updated, I will then launch Septembers mini challenge...
