Connecting speakers to DAB radio

I have a DAB radio which has bluetooth on it. If I get some bluetooth speakers, would I be able to connect these to the radio and get the sound from the radio to the speakers. I'm able to connect my mobile phone to the radio with bluetooth and listen to my phone music on the radio. Can someone please tell me if it would work? The radio has AUX in but not out; I'm worried that bluetooth on the radio might be input only ie may not work with sound coming out of the radio

I doubt it, the radio will receive a signal from your phone but will not be able to transmit a signal to another device.

I had a feeling that may be the case. Many thanks for your reply

The radio will only act as a bluetooth speaker not the other way round. If you want to connect a bigger speaker to the radio it will almost certainly have a headphone socket, you will be able to connect an external speaker to this.

I have a bluetooth speaker with a standard 3.5mm input socket. I can use this wirelessly with my phone or use a cable like this for better sound from my pocket DAB radio

I agree with the others, it almost certainly can't connect to speakers. But there's no way any of us can know for sure.
