Anyone received a Park brochure today?!

Just wondering if anyone else received an envelope today saying "Open Now...Important Information Enclosed" to find a letter and brochure from Park? I was all happy it was just spam until I saw my personal reference number! I called them, they had all my details and said I opened an account on 9th December (which I didn't...knowingly). The only thing I can think of is the details were taken from a competition entry - although I am pretty good at opting out of further comms, they confirmed this was possible and most likely via FB - I dont even "Like" their FB page. Just a bit perplexed!

They own love2shop vouchers too and the FB page which is why I never enter those comps. I have a vague feeling they also own Provident Vouchers and it's FB as well.
As soon as I read 'Park' I avoid like the plague.

Yes, I had one today and have entered Park comps recently and I am sure there is an Opt-Out option at the bottom of their entry forms which I always make sure is ticked not to receive marketing. Very disappointing if it's arrived from entering one of them if that's the case.

I dont mind the expected bit of spam mail but to open up an account in my name?I feel like thats a bit too far!

I got same envelope, but it's already been recycled! Assume it had the same content. I'm very careful about ticking/unpicking boxes too.

Freydis - They had opened one for me so might be worth phoning the number and asking them to close it - they did it for me without any questions. I was a bit eggy about it but have to realise its not the poor phone call answerer persons fault

Mine has been shredded and recycled - just creates a lot of unnecessary admin and expense for them. I tick every 'no thanks' box going but still get loads of brochures etc.. Postie must love me ..... not!
Think I must get a cruise one about twice a week!
