My DD has been lent a W reg Civic. The owners are abroad for three months. All was fine until she opened the boot with the key and since then the alarm keeps going off! It switches off with the key fob button. But when she unlocks it goes off when she opens the door. She was also locked in the car when she tried things to reset the alarm.
Any help appreciated.

Could be the interior sensor being triggered or having something thats moving inside triggering it0

Obviously it is playing up. For older cars I would try to disable it and just use a steering lock. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
Please note that at no point during this work was the kettle ever put out of commission and no chavs were harmed during the making of this post.0 -
thanks, it is not anything inside, how do I disable it?0

Is the alarm only going off when she unlocks with the key (as opposed to the fob)? Mine does this, so when the battery was low in the key fob and I had to unlock manually the alarm would go off, replacing the battery in the key fob sorted it out.0

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
