cracked Samsung note screen

So I've never cracked a phone screen.
Dropped my note 3 and there is a hair line crack going down vertical nearly the length of the phone.
It's a battered old phone and you can hardly see it and everything works fine.
Should I replace it?
Looking at ebay, there are screen replacements. ..but some say without lcd etc...so I guess they're incomplete? What else do I need? Is it easy to replace? Does it matter if they're genuine Samsung or not?
Thanks

try a local phone repair shop , the screen is made up of several parts , the LCD display and then the glass , it sounds like your glass only is brokenSave a Rachael

LCD is inside. The top touch-sensitive layer is normally called 'digitiser'.catoutthebag wrote: »Looking at ebay, there are screen replacements. ..but some say without lcd etc...so I guess they're incomplete?0 -
Everything is working and I can't really see the hairline crack face on when using it. Shall I leave it?0

I would leave it and decide what to do if or when it develops a fault.0

Put a screen protector on it. They are cheap and may stop it getting worse.0

It's an old phone, it owes you nothing, you know you'll need to replace it sometime soon anyway, so start saving and keep using it in the meantime until it dies!0
