Zanussi ZWF14069W Door Has Stuck Closed. Please Help!

Options
Hi.
I have taken the lid off and looked in at the latch from inside and I can see that the latch pin looks stuck. The washing has done it's normal cycle and the 'end' LED is lit but I have not heard the normal click after the 60 seconds.
These are the things I have tried:
1. Leaving the machine turned off for a few hours which included switching the appliance off at the wall and even taking the plug out and waiting for the bi-metal latch (?) to cool down.
2. Draining the water pipe at the base of the machine and emptying the filter.
3. Taking the lid off and taking the black tube off the bottom of the pressure sensor and taking the electric wires out.
4. Testing for an error code. Which we found to be 3 red flashes and 1 green flash of the start/pause button, which we found out means a problem with the door latch!

Has anyone had the door lock mechanism fail on them? As I think this could be our only option now is to replace the whole part? Or can I try something else?

Many thanks :)
Sophie.

Ours gets stuck a lot. It's not the same model but we have to give it a hard thump with the side of a fist right where the mechanism is and it releases every time. Probably worth a try.

That happend on mine last week, not the same make. I kept trying it on a different number to see would it get to stop. Eventually got it open but the clothes were all wet, the rinse hadn't worked.
At first i thought it's not worth paying for a repair, i'll get a new one. But looking on the Internet the fault is probably be a vacuum switch. On YouTube it's easy to fit and about £15, i've been trying to get the part and all the suppliers are saying ......... machine obsolete, parts not available.

    Hi all.
    Thanks for your quick replies!
Got it open by banging the pin out of the hole from inside. First tried the string method but I realised I wasn't pulling hard enough on it. I think some strong cat gut or thin plastic piping to pull the pin back would of worked, as the pin has a quite strong spring.
Bought a new lock on-line and was easy to fit, and is working so far!
    Regards
    Sophie.
