I applied for housing benefit for the first time last month. When i called they said the first payment would be paid in on monday 22nd december. I had money paid in on the 17th of december under the description on my bank statement of "SCC debtors benefit" is this the housing benefit or something else? I am not aware of being due any other money
Hope someone can help!

Is SCC the abbreviation for your local council?
Were you previously in debt to the council?0 -
Housing benefit is paid by local council, SCC being your local authority I guess?
E.g. Cornwall county council = CCC.0 -

Sheffield City Council - Southampton City Council - Salford City Council? These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0
