You really need to do a bit of your own research on this

Devote some time to the newbies faq thread at the top of the forum to at least get the basics.

You really need to read the Newbies thread in the sticky threads at the top of this forum. All abbreviations are explained there as well as a whole wealth of other useful information. It was written to avoid regulars answering the same questions over and over again which can be tiresome, as you will appreciate.

  • Hi guys,, I offered £1 at the mediator stage and they did not accept. As we will probably go to court, what shall I expect there and how can I avoid paying the court expenses? Do I have to ask the judge? Any advice will be appreciated. TY

Why did you agree to mediation and then offer £1? (Won't look good - should have just refused mediation if you weren't going to engage in any!!)

You will only pay court fees if you lose in court. The only way to be sure of avoiding these would be to pay up before the hearing takes place.

If you lose in court you may also get hit with the claimant's reasonable expenses for attending court on top of the court fees.

The judge will add on any costs to the order and tell you what you must pay.

But if you win, then you can ask the judge to order the claimant to pay your reasonable costs for attending the court.

These are yet more questions the answers to which you can find yourself by googling and searching this forum. If you do not help yourself no-one here will help you, now, get a grip.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

They don't bluff. But of course they pay the hearing fee, you only end up coughing up if you lose.

You need to be ready for a court hearing with your detailed evidence ready to submit to the court and UKCPS before the hearing. Do you have a hearing date?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
