Old Welcome default and Lowells

Hi
I had/have a loan with WFS and due to redundancy I defaulted, (I cant recall when 2009/2010) - anyway I was paying and then one day the information disappeared from my credit file and they stopped writing to me. So after a while I stopped paying, that was in 2013.
Today I came home to 2 letters from Lowells saying they had brought the debts from Sigma, one re an old mobile debt which I agreed a partial settlement on 18 months ago! All marked on my credit file as paid and I have confirmation in writing. The other re the welcome debt.
I'm happy to start making payments again but can they put this back on my credit file now?? Ive literally just got my credit back in order after one year of being out of work that impacted my life for 6 long years!
I've just put an offer on a house and I'm now worried that this is going to ruin everything.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you x

They can report, but anything that goes on your file must be accurate and default dates etc correct/same as they were originally.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
