Can I freeze stuff in my old Le Creuset casseroles?

I am cooking red cabbage today (Mary Berry recipe with apple). It needs to cook and then be frozen. I have some rather old (still ok though) cast iron Le Creuset casseroles which I would like to use then be able to defrost/reheat on Christmas Day to save me time. Is it advisable? I also have some pyrex dishes but they only have plastic lids so I would need to wrap in cling film to freeze then cover in foil to reheat, a bit of a palaver.
Has anyone done this?

I imagine that the cast iron would freeze to the ice inside the freezer and be almost impossible to get out.
Use tupperware - it really won't be any more time consuming.0 -
But don't cook it in the Tupperware! Cook it in your casserole dishes lined with baking foil, which makes it easier to lift out and drop into suitable sized Tupperware containers as advised above.0

If you are not cooking it in the LeC, but you want to heat it up on xmas day in the LeC, then cook it & allow it to cool,
then line the LeC with something like foil or plastic film,
pour it in then semi freeze inside the LeC,
then remove it from the LeC, take LeC out of freezer,
leave the rest to freeze whilst not freezing the LeC dish.
If you are cooking today in the LeC, then same as above but you will have to transfer it to another dish whilst you wash the LeC
