  • Morning all.
Deleted_User, you are in my thoughts and your family too.

Very soggy here but warm, I am not too well, the usual pre-Christmas bug and also think I need root canal work doing in January.

Very tired now and when DH gets up and heads off hunter-gathering I will have a warm bath and then see if I can manage a nap.

Yesterday did not get here, too much to do but was a bit slow in my application to tasks. Still not written Christmas cards, or wrapped things up apart from my family.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Morning everyone,

Had a bit of lie-in and so the girls went out in the light which was great, can't believe how mild it is and dry so will get some washing done and on the line, unbelievable for December!

Finished off the final few presents yesterday, just need to get them wrapped now and under the tree. Had two MS vouchers from doing surveys so managed to pick up some nice bits for the weekend and only had £2.14 to pay. Have my two DSS's for lunch tomorrow and they have hollow legs so will get some of my apples out of the freezer and also make a crumble.

Spoke to vet yesterday and she is coming out on Monday to check on Bill's progress but good news is that he can now go out in the paddock for a couple of hours, on his own to start with but at least he will be out.

Csarina. - my love and thoughts are with you, at least you have some answers now.

Take care everyone especially those who are feelings poorly xx

    Good morning everyone :hello:

We have rain and wind here this morning but I am all warm and snuggly in my fluffy dressing gown so I don't mind :D. I couldn't sleep last night due to the pain in my face so I got up at 3am and came downstairs and made a cottage pie for lunch tomorrow....as you do! I actually enjoyed cooking in the peace and quiet without the girls asking me when it is going to be ready to eat :rotfl::rotfl:. I managed to go back to bed at 6am and slept through to 9.15 yay :D.

My sister is popping in today so I will need to go and get dressed in a minute. She is bringing me a few DS games for my DD13 that I've bought from her as a reward for having a great report from school. In fact all the girls have tried hard this term, their attendance is up and their attitude to learning has improved too. Their school has gone through trying times in the past year and was put into special measures but I think it has really turned a corner now.

I am just waiting for a last parcel to be delivered and then that will be that, I will have finished. My cards have been written and posted finally, I only have some stocking fillers to wrap and my mum needs to come and collect her presents and cards this week. The food is sorted as well as long as my musclefood order gets delivered. Speaking of food, I will be joining in on January's grocery challenge as we will have a long month ahead on less wages than normal. I've already made sure the rent is paid to the end of January and the council tax is up to date.

Csarina, I am thinking of you and your family. I'm glad Nicholas didn't suffer but obviously you must miss him terribly. Sending you a load of love xxx

I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you are up to, try not to get too stressed, take care xx

    Afternoon all,

not so good news from me i'm afraid. Went to see Mom last night, she was awake and alert. We watched some telly together, Mother was very talkative (but as usual, made no sense). I nodded and made gestures so she thought i understood her which was great. All was going well until i started to get ready to go. I mentioned that the girls would be in to get her ready for bed soon and she started getting angry, yelling and just being vile. The drink i took her got slung across the room so i walked out. I let the girls know she was kicking off and came home. I felt guilty that only 3 visitors turned up to the Christmas party yesterday. My brother and girlfriend havent been for a few days. Then my thoughts were, should i have been with Mother? (though she didnt leave her room cause she doesnt like crowds/noise/other people) or was i right staying for my Grandson whilst my daughter was at work? I then blamed myself for not passing my driving test but i got round that by telling myself i wouldnt have had a car anyway.

This morning we were woken by someone hammering on the door. I opened it and it was my son who i had problems with a few weeks ago. He wanted money and it was clear he didnt want me to ask any questions as to why. "I thought you were working" i told him and he stormed off slamming the door behind him. He'd been drinking (again). He'd gone by the time hubby had got out of bed. He couldnt have been in the house more than a couple of minutes but he made the walls shake when he left.....Which then left me and hubby yelling at eachother. Him yelling at me "i told you we should have moved years ago" and me yelling back "Well if you hadnt spent all your money on blasted cars, maybe we could have moved when i was ready to".

So, as you can see.... a bit of a shaky start to Christmas for me but a positive is, we went to collect my lights for the living room today.

    Onwards and fowards,

    have a great day all.

  • Had a sleep, back up again. Payslip arrived and again have not been paid fees forb additional work commissioned out of work hours, one fee outstanding from August and one from November. Bit annoying, the work was done on time and I would like to be paid with the same timeliness,

DH has been to mo**is ons and used £35 voucher, to get it he had to put one item through by itself and then go and do the rest of the shopping. I think that is all the shopping done, bet we run out of bread though. We can pick that up in the week, also need rice but not from there, I will drop in at sainsbobs in the week.

Still raining I am cold and have the heating on. Will do some knitting as not much energy for anything more taxing. Must locate twinkly fairy lights soon though.

  • Oh JUDI what a couple of days you've had. Here's another (((HUG)))) for you.

I'm feeling yuk this afternoon. The anti b's the urologist gave me Thursday aren't doing a bit of good and I think I'll be ringing the surgery on Monday to speak to someone. This is the 3rd different anti b since the current uti started a month ago and it's not responded to any of them. I just feel I will be living like this forever and after two years of it, it's really getting me down now. Sorry, I just felt the need for a good moan. I have done all my promised baking but my heart wasn't in it.

Have a nice evening all xx
