Printer Problems with new printer.

My new Epson C46 has decided to play silly beggers with me. It worked fine for the first week i got it untill today when it has decided to stop printing after just the first line. The error is that 'there is a fault and the document failed to print', (not very helpful).
I have tried a test print, and head alignment and the result is the same as above.I have removed all the old drivers from previous printers.
I removed the printer and re-installed it again, but is no better.
I have read all the manuals and there is nothing to help me on this.
I have tried google to help but without joy.
Can anyone help please, or suggest a web-site which may be able to point me in the right direction.

I can't be sure but do you have to install the drivers first then install the printer?I think this is what happened with my C84.Try removing the printer and drivers and try installing the drivers on their own, then the printer. Are you connected using the parrallel port or USB? Checking the ports in hardware manager might help. Whilst you are there see if there are any yellow exclamation marks against anything, it might give you a clue.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
