Just to close this off. I didn't hear again from the Landlord properly once I moved. I forgot to hand in the electric key so he called to remind me and mentioned a mark on the carpet. After that I heard nothing until I received a cheque in the post for the full deposit amount!! Yey
In regards to the stains - Nothing worked. I think once it goes brown rather than black its too late and it has permanently stained the floor. I guess it was old enough for the landlord not to care.0 -
