Royal Mail said they won't look into it until missing for some time? I can't remember how many days they said but with only proof of postage what outcome is that likely to bring?3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Thank you I really do appreciate it. We are having an overhaul over christmas and I am thinking we just carry on as we were (franking and sending first class post) and see what we get in January.
When you say validating addresses do you mean checking them against royal mail?
Yes, use the RM database for validating addresses. http://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode
As was suggested, try leaving/posting at different PO/DO, try changing your sticky labels (perhaps they are coming off in this wet weather). Are you printing the labels with ink that can get wet and run? Lots of things right from the very basics that may be increasing the chances of the packet not making it's destination.0 -
Yes I will take your advice and see what January brings! Its so frustrating when you are selling well but your item isn't getting to the customer - that seems to me like it should be the easiest thing!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Thanks. Can I ask why you ask them to open a not received case as well as replacing anyway? Is this because consistent moaners can be checked?
Opening of the case is the point most disappear or "find" their parcel.
We use FBA on Amazon so don't have a problem there but I think asking a customer to open an A-Z costs you 100 points on your performance score so probably not advisable for Amazon sales.
If you are shifting that many parcels is a Royal Mail account not better?
From April Royal Mail claim to be offering some form of tracking on basic services (for free, bar any price rises).
You'll need to use their Dispatch Manager Online program for this but they'll offer a lot of help getting you set up.
I've never understood franking, isn't it more expensive than on account? In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Sorry what is 'on account?'3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

It's the Royal Mail business account with PPI:

One thing to note most services attract VAT, there is a non-VAT service (which for larger letters isn't much more than the net cost of the other services) but I don't know if this is moving over to Dispatch Manager.
Are you sending 1st or 2nd, which weight bands (0-100, 101-250, 21-500 or 501-750) and are you VAT registered? In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
We are not VAT registered yet but probably will be soon. 1st generally but some 2nd.
Thank you3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
