network controller driver

this is the last piece of the jigsaw in getting my laptop working again,and i'm stuck

i need a driver for the network controller,

in the window "Network controller properties" i have under general tab,

device type: other devices
manufacturer: unknown
location: PCI bus 2, device 3, function 0

under driver tab, i have,
driver provider :unknown
driver date: n/a
driver version: n/a

under details tab,i have
Device Instance id
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1043&SUBSYS_25618086&REV_04\4&39A85202&0&18F0

Have you tried looking for a download according to your model and OS here:

http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=gen

If I do that for the model you quoted I get this:

You would need to double check yourself that it's the correct one.

got knowhere fast !!
just been on to BT (its their router i'm using) and they just took control of my screen, and said , i have no wifi card !!!!
well i haven't taken it out
any ideas cos i don't

Is the wireless card switched on?

Have you downloaded the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3A Mini PCI Adapter driver yet?

usually FN + Fx , check for logo's on function keys for wireless icon, and wireless light.
