  • If you have any tax issues then at least keep your P60 for at least 6 years.

How much room are they taking up? Is there a pressing need to get rid of them? I have mine going back 12 years at least (when I become an employee again after years of contracting) and while there's little likelihood of needing one from 2003 if I get rid of them and find I do need one them I'm stumped.

The alternative is to scan them and retain an electronic image (remembering of course to back up).

Keep a few really old ones, it's great to look back at what you were paid decades ago.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • Mine go back to 1984. Possibly I'm a little over-cautious.

they take up virtually no room at all; I have most (+P60s) going back 30 years, and a few from over 40 years!
