Cheapest way to pay for Uber abroad

in Credit cards
Hi!
I am currently living abroad for 1 year, and I had set up paypal with a credit card to pay for Uber when I was in the UK. I use Uber a lot here as it's the safest way at night. At the moment it's being paid for by my non-foreign transaction-friendly credit card linked to paypal, but I'm unclear whether or not I'll be being charged a foreign transaction fee on top since I'm abroad.
I could change the way of payment to my Creation credit card which is good for foreign travel, but I'm not sure if this is going to be cheaper or not. I don't really want to change it unless it saves me money, because the UK credit card I have linked to paypal gives me avios points.
Can anyone help?
Thanks a lot!

You could get a 0% currency conversion card.
If you're charged in foreign currency it will save you about 3%.
So you need to know what the benefit of the avios points are.0 -
The first thing to check is whether PayPal are doing the currency conversion or charging your card in the foreign currency. PayPal's load is about 2.8% from memory, so slightly better than the average card that charges 3%.
You need to check what your cards charge for foreign transactions, compare that to what PayPal charge then set PayPal up for whichever option is cheaper.0 -
Paying directly with your Creation Everyday card will be free of foreign usage fees and exchange loading. So you need to calculate what it costs you to earn the Avios points and consider if it's worth it.Evolution, not revolution0
