Currys PC World - praise

I reserved a Shark Rocket HV320UK upright bagless vacuum cleaner yesterday via Click and Collect on the Currys PC World website. The item was on sale for £179.99 but according to the website, a further 10% discount was available until Monday by quoting a specified promotional code at the point of payment.
I would like to thank the local branch of Currys for honouring this 10% promotional discount when I arrived, quoting the said code, to purchase my vacuum cleaner in the afternoon, even though the promotion had actually ended Monday just gone; it wasn't still valid and due to end nextMonday, as the website suggested. Apparently, the promotional information should have been removed early this week but due to some oversight, this hadn't been done.
The young lady dealing with my order did, on her own initiative, put herself out to locate the appropriate bar code so that the 10% discount could be applied to my purchase. I didn't ask her to do this and I don't think Currys had to sell to me at the lower price, it was just done as a goodwill gesture.
