John Lewis - Praise

Bought an Apple Watch from John Lewis yesterday in store (yes, I know version 2 will be out soon...) so I could get the two year guarantee.

Checking their site today they are running a promotion on the watches with £50 off until the end of the year - was not happy. Was considering ordering another and returning the first, but rang customer services and they've refunded me the £50.

John Lewis are excellent. I believe if you buy something from them and they subsequently reduce the price, they will refund the difference. I think there is a way to do this online but you have to look for it.

I must praise them too. I ordered a lovely Radley bag for my daughter's Christmas present. They price matched an offer elsewhere so I paid £139 instead of £199. It arrived soon after I ordered it and I love it so much I want to keep it myself.

I think I will, where possible, order anything I need from JL.

Can I add a little praise for them today too?

DD's MacBook Pro died earlier this week, it contained all her coursework that she needs to work on over Christmas (and in typical teen fashion she hadn't backed it up anywhere). Contacted John Lewis who will pick it up on Monday, but in the meantime have agreed that we can take the back off the machine, and retrieve the hard drive and all her work.

So glad we ordered directly from them!

I ordered a bbq in the summer from John Lewis and was gutted when I saw the price slashed by over £100 only a week or so after it had been delivered - contacted them and they refunded the extra, so got the Sale Price.
They are the only major retailer that still does this routinely, apparently.

Another appreciative JL customer.


I was in their store a while ago and bought a couple of things. Unfortunately I left a greetings card while paying for some other stuff. Had spent ages looking for 'the right card', especially as we live about 30 miles away.


Luckily a phone call to their customer services confirmed that the card had been handed in and they would post out to me.


It arrived first class the following day.
