Being a very reputable large organisation like DC however with their own stores all over the UK...
From the website you mention in the thread title, I can see that they have a grand total of two shops in the UK - one in Milton Keynes and one in Brighton.

They have different websites for different countries. Having scanned those I can understand, all returns are to Belgium.

Sorry OP, you made a mistake, the information on their website is quite clear. Emailing them suggesting they may have committed a criminal offence would be quite ridiculous.

Misleading consumers about their rights (or having T&C's which may deter consumers from enforcing their rights - such as imposing unreasonable conditions on their return) can amount to a criminal offence. It may sound ridiculous to you but its still a fact. Bear in mind i said may amount to a criminal offence,

I certainly find it unreasonable that a UK company trading in the UK under UK law to customers residing in the UK would require those customers to return the goods anywhere other than the UK.

Furthermore, the retailer would also have needed to provide all the necessary information to OP in a durable medium - what they have on their website really doesn't matter.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
