Credit card help please

Hi,
I am new to the forum and wondered if someone could help me with some advice.

A family member has got themselves into trouble with their credit card. They have had to use it more then they thought and they are paying interest every month.

I dont know if it is worth another family member getting a interest free credit card out and then transferring the balance from the family member who is in trouble to that card and the family member paying them direct to pay off the debit?

It is normally possible but some cards dont allow transfering debt from other people. I know you can do it with barclaycard as they only ask for the card number and amount when doing a balance transfer online.
But bear in mind that however family member takes the debt on his new card he will then be responsible for that debt. As long as there is high level of trust between the individuals it is duable.
