I know what pinnks quoted, but you quoted this which was factually incorrectThat drastic cut was 31 October 2011
So how are you a few weeks out from 31/10/2011 to 03/03/2012as you saw an opportunity to 'have a go' at Cardew as he was a few weeks out on dates. !I say again, a pathetic post and has been followed an even more pathetic attempts to justify yourself. Try and do better next time!

Still trying, and making yourself look even sillier.from Pinks, I was referring to 6 weeks before the December date,
Even if it was 18 weeks, what is the relevance to the costs and profit subject? If it was 6 weeks before the March date, it strengthens Kevin6666's point about 'white van man' rip offs. made in this post.Instead it's boom and bust with the wealthy benefitting and the poor not. Rent a roof man made his investment and can live the next 20 years as a meter reader. White van man took the boom & bust approach. And Dr & Dr Jones can be happy poor Joe Bloggs is helping them pay for their next trip to the Maldives.0 -
What's relevant is that over those few 18 weeks prices tumbled from around £20k to around £8k for a 4kWp install.Even if it was 18 weeks, what is the relevance to the costs and profit subject?
If you think that that has no bearing on the costs and profit then I guess you have more money than sense.2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -

Not just geologists. After nuclear gets another 35yrs of subsidies (paid by poor people in all electric homes - apparently?) that 18 weeks will represent 0.35% of the time nuclear has been supported in the UK.
Doesn't time fly!

And of course we still haven't quite got to the point where nuclear electricity would be "too cheap to meter" (as promised at the Calder Hall opening ceremony).NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50

Still trying, still failing.
pinnks quoted the £20,000 - not I.
So you are telling us 18 weeks before 03 March 2012, i.e around 28 Oct 2011, 'prices tumbled from around £20k'
Now Martin - the guru of this Board - has just posted:By the summer of 2011 they were down to £12k and the FiT needed revising fast.
So you say prices were £20k in late Oct 2011 and Martin states £12k before that in Summer 2011.
What a huge error by Martin, or yourself? Surely you are going to post and admonish him for getting things so wrong;)
Give up tunnel, you are out of your depth!0 -
Well I paid nearly £7.5k for my first 2kWp system in late Nov 11 and that was my cheapest quote, since then my area became one of the cheapest where I've seen systems installed for as little as £3500 for a 4kWp system
As you can see, prices can and do vary countrywide meaning £12k may have been achievable somewhere in the country in the summer of 2011 but would probably not be the norm.
Still, If you insist on continuing to score points then please carry on....just make sure you post the correct dates next time to save confusion.2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -
tunnel, scoring points off you is like taking candy off a baby. Read your last few posts and be suitably embarrassed at the contradictions.0
