Morning all,
Still really mild here good for not having the heating on, but it doesn't feel right. Day off today and tomorrow but I have loads to do so will be rushing round.
I have the DR this morning for a blood test regarding my joints, I hope they get to the bottom of it, my wrists are so sore atm.
I need to pop out to get come candles for the table and buy wrapping paper, this afternoon I will start wrapping presents (a job that I hate)
Dinner is yet to be decided on but we have plenty in, I also need to sort the larder and fridges to get the xmas goodies in.
Seems so wrong waffling on when poor Csarina is going through so much, I am thinking of you all and sending much love xxx0 -

Gentle hug and thinking of you all at this awful time.
Quiet morning and have gone with my gut feeling about the first bungalow I offered for and will see if we can meet in the middle re price. Will leave a message at the solicitor as still do not have the new contract to sign and phone EA and be proactive.
Older dd comes tonight to drive me to weigh in and middle dd is popping over for a bite to eat and will stay over once she arrives back from a party in York.

JackieO put it better than I could but never underestimate being kind, caring and looking after people.

Thank you for your words of wisdom JackieO, Candlelight and Elona. I just hate it when he asks for his Mummy. As i explained in my earlier post when his other Nanny had him yesterday all he wanted was his Mummy. Thankfully he hasnt asked for her yet. He's been quite happy with me.
As it was, it was good that he came to me. In the end the GP gave her an inhaler and a nebulizer, my daughter gave me the unopened package before she left for work. I am familiar with nebulizers, my middle son used one when he was little but they have come on a long way since those days. Anyway, he's got the hang of breathing in at the right time. Just need to show his Daddy when he picks him up later. The inhaler seems to be doing the trick thankfully.
He's tucked up in bed now, he should sleep better if his cough is being controlled. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all,
It's all been a bit manic these past couple of days. To cut a long story short, FIL got taken to hospital yesterday morning and seems to have a UTI, they are keeping him in for a couple of days. Most probably because he had collapsed on Tuesday evening and MIL left him on the bedroom floor all night - covered by a duvet, because he said he was ok and she didn't want to bother anyone. Could have been a different story...
Had lunch out yesterday afternoon with the immediate ladies I work with. It's our christmas treat to ourselves. Today was the dreaded school Christmas dinner for the kids. Hate it so much, it's always so much more noisy and just a ruddy mess. Most of the kids don't eat it anyway!
Last day at work before the holidays tomorrow. So looking forward to it
Have a good day. Thinking of Csarina.0 -
Been AWOL for a few days; but just read today's thread, and with a sense of foreboding, read back over the last couple of days. Deeply sorry to read Csarina's devastating and tragic news. Wasn't planning to post today, but I couldn't leave without sending my sincere condolences. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Have had a busy day today.Been to Icel@nd with DD, for Xmas buffet bits, then came back and played freezer jenga  We were supposed to be popping into town, but there was a bomb scare in the shopping centre, and an explosive had to be detonated later  Luckily nobody was hurt .
Am off out tonight for an Indian meal, with the family, as we're all doing different things on Xmas day
JUDI you are doing a fab job looking after everyone.I am also a Nanny who's very hands on and love it

Hello all.
Still thinking of Deleted_User. I hope that the good wishes and loving thoughts of strangers will bring her some comfort, perhaps not now but in time.
I have been to work and although a productive morning have felt quite unwell, must have picked up an office bug.
Dentist this afternoon, having broken a tooth in my sleep and it looks to her as if there is something going on under the tooth so looks like root canal work in Jan. I have antibiotics in case it gets nasty over the holiday, though the dentist is on call, or someone from the surgery. I am not a fan of root canal stuff.
I will sit about this evening and go to bed at the crack of mid-evening.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -

Warning bells are ringing for me as i know they must be for you. Patience and wisdom will be needed i should imagine for the days ahead. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Csarina - thinking of you and your family.
Not been posting much real life getting in the way. Ds2 seems to be on a downward spiral of self destruction, becoming violent at home, drinking etc. going to get a drs appointment. I'm sure it's all to do with his self esteem and pressure re exams.
Redruby - hope you find out what is causing the pain in your wrists.
Judi - bringing up children and grandchildren is in my opinion the most valuable job in the world.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0
