Something missing from credit report

Hi All,
Just after some advice / insight with this one. I have a default registered from July 2013 for an old student overdraft I had. It is listed on equifax & call credit as defaulted.
I recently signed up to the free 30 day trial with experian, and the default is nowhere to be seen on my file (it was visible on there when I checked it around a year ago). But when I then went and ordered a £2 statutory report from experian as well, the default is showing on that.
Does anyone know why the information might be missing from my score/report but then show up on a statutory report, even though both were provided from experian within a matter of days of each other?
I used all the exact same information to sign up for the trial as I used when filling in the info for the statutory report.
Thanks

Hi xxsalxx,
It certainly sounds like the defaulted account should still show on your CreditExpert report.
When you report is produced we search for all the information that we hold in your name at the addresses supplied. If a variation of an address is used by the lender, then if can sometimes stop the information from being retrieved.
Our blog covers what could cause missing information in more detail here.
If you email your details to uksocialsupport@experian.com I can get the CreditExpert report checked for you.
Kind regards
Neil“Official Company Representative

Thanks for your reply Neil. I read the article but it doesn't really explain why it shows on a £2 statutory report from Experian, but not on my monthly subscription/report from Experian? I used the exact same information when signing up for the monthly trial & also when I ordered the £2 report separately. I thought seeing as both were from experian it would show the same information on both. Which version would lenders see?0
