Hi, Can anyone tell me if it's possible to salvage photos and music stored in memory of Nokia Lumia 610.
No longer use the phone and would like to pass it onto my husband but would like to save photos & music if possible. Unfortunately, I'm not very techie minded so if too complicated will have to admit defeat:(. Thanks in advance.

Can you not just plug the phone into a USB socket on your PC, and copy the files over using Windows Explorer? (I'm guessing photos will be in a Camera or Pictures or Photos or DCIM folder, and music will be in a Music or Media folder on the phone. I don't have a Windows phone to be able to check).0

The OP needs to download the Microsoft Zune software which should be able to sync files onto a PC.

Edit: I forgot to say - it still needs to be plugged in via USB as mentioned above. Zune claims to be able to sync wirelessly, but I could never get this to work with Windows 8, and I think even when it does work, it tries to sync in its own time (eg. in the middle of the night) which is a pain if you just want to get some files off the phone.0 -
Is it not possible to move them to the SD card then plug that into the PC/laptop independently to remove the information?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Correct. Zune is the only way, even to set up wireless sync. It is supposed to wireless sync after 10 minutes on charger. No SD card on a 610 - SD cards were not allowed on early windows phones specification although one or two did flaunt the spec.0

Yes, just looked it up and unfortunately no SD card slot.
Looks like Zune is the only hope..Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Plugging in a USB cable is a much less frustrating way to connect.0 -
Thank you all very much for your suggestions. Think my best option is to download Zune software. Have tried everything else possible (which isn't very much). Really appreciate all comments and advice.0
