hi all
My son is off to Uni next month staying in halls, anyone any clues as to insurance for Laptop / mobile theft etc. should i take out seperate insurance or add it on to my house / contents ?

Check your contents policy wording as he may be covered already.
However if he is going to a place that is notorious for student accommodation/houses being burgled, or if he has already lost/damaged a mobile phone/laptop it may be cheaper for you in the long run to make him get an insurance policy his name. (It all depends on where he lives in the future.)
